Systems Biology Research Services

  • Consulting/collaboration

Description: Investigators can bring a problem or a project for a focused short-term consultation.  Such consultations may vary from direct assistance provided by core faculty themselves, to projects in which systems biology post-docs or students are supported for a limited term to work with the laboratory group of a skin biologist.   In some cases, consultations grow into long-term collaborations, serving both to foster the research goals of skin biologists, and to increase the pool of skin biology-focused investigators in our community.

  • Systems Biology Clinics

Description: At these clinics, skin biologists present focused problems in need of modeling, data analysis, or systematic hypothesis generation, to the core faculty and other members of the systems biology community.

  • Annual Educational and Networking Activities

Description:  The UCI Systems Biology retreat is a three-day, two-night event for members of the Systems Biology community—including faculty and trainees from Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology and Medicine—and features talks, posters, breakout sessions and many opportunities for networking and collaboration-building.  This year's meeting was held March 31 to May 2. Next year's meeting will be in the spring of 2024.
